The Blessing of Giving
On Friday, November 21, 2025, Victory Christian Center School’s Elementary campus held its annual drop-off for Operation Christmas Child shoebox donations. Operation Christmas Child, a global outreach of Samaritan’s Purse, delivers shoeboxes filled with toys and essential items to children in need around the world—sharing the love and gospel of Jesus Christ with every gift.
What made this year’s giving especially remarkable is how it began. While we were hosting collections for a month, at the start of last week, the school had only two shoeboxes prepared. In response, Pastor Chisholm issued a challenge to the entire elementary school: "Let’s reach 20 boxes by the deadline. We can do this!"
The students and families rose to the challenge with overwhelming generosity. When the final count was complete, the school had assembled and donated 64 fully packed shoeboxes—more than triple the goal!
To this we joyfully say: "To God be the glory!"
This beautiful outpouring reminds us that giving is a blessing. God allows us to be His hands extended—His instruments of compassion, hope, and provision in the lives of others. As we step into this season of Thanksgiving, may we remember that one of the most powerful ways to show our gratitude is by giving to others. When we give, we reflect the heart of our Father, and He uses our obedience to meet real needs across the world.
Thank you, VCCS family, for being a community that gives generously, loves deeply, and serves joyfully. We are Victory… and we are grateful.
