Sharing the Love of Christ in the Community

On February 24, 2026, our 3rd–5th grade students went on their second field trip to the Plaza Health & Rehabilitation Center, and once again it was a blessing to see our children minister to others. The visit was led by our VCCS Music Teacher, Mrs. Beverly Chapman, and Bible teacher, Miss Jeter, whose leadership and heart for ministry helped make the experience meaningful for both our students and the residents.

During their first visit, the students shared songs of worship and distributed personalized scripture cards to the residents, and it was evident even then that God was using them to bring encouragement and joy.

For this second visit, in honor of Black History Month, the students returned with the same spirit of love and service. They ministered again in song and created personalized cards, each one written with a different scripture. The residents were excited to see them and were very open to receiving from them. We saw smiles, heard many thank yous, and witnessed how much their presence meant. Moments like this remind us that our students are not too young to be used by God.

After the singing, an altar call was given, and we watched the Lord move in a powerful way. At least six individuals made the decision to give their lives to God, and several others rededicated their lives to Jesus Christ. What a blessing to see lives touched in such a real way.

We give God all the glory for what took place. Experiences like this remind us that at Victory, we are not only teaching academics, but we are developing hearts that love God, serve others, and boldly share their faith wherever God gives them the opportunity.
