Love Conquers All — Black History Program 2026
Victory Christian Center School students and staff celebrated African American History on Thursday, February 26, with a powerful program entitled "Love Conquers All." Our middle school students researched influential African Americans and important historical milestones, then turned their learning into original poems, with several selected to participate in a poetry slam contest.
The chorus blessed us with beautiful harmonies, the dancers ministered through expressive movement, and the high school drama team brought history to life through impactful performances. Students also shared their God given talents, and the faculty gospel choir had the audience on their feet, taking us back to the old landmark in joyful praise.
We were honored to welcome Councilman James Mitchell Jr., who encouraged our students to dream big, work hard, respect those who lead them, and follow God’s purpose for their lives.
We are grateful to the family and friends who came out to support. The program reflected our students’ growing leadership, creativity, and commitment to using their gifts to honor God and impact their community.
