Discovery Place Field Trip was a success for our middle schoolers!

Student Spotlight

We’re excited to highlight the creativity, hard work, and talents of our VCCS students! In this Student Spotlight, we’re showcasing a special piece of student work that reflects their effort, creativity, and commitment to excellence.

During our middle school field trip to Discovery Place, we got to explore many interesting exhibits and learn about science in a fun way.

One of the exhibits we visited was an indoor rainforest, here we learned about different plants, animals, and ecosystems. We also got to experience the physics playground, where we could interact with activities that showed how forces, motion, and energy work. Each exhibit gave us a different way to understand science and made learning exciting.

Another exciting part of the trip was the chemistry lab, where we learned about different chemical reactions. We were able to observe experiments and learn how chemistry is used in everyday life. While there, we got the chance to experiment with the DNA of a strawberry.

The field trip was a fun and educational experience that allowed us to learn outside of the classroom and gave us a chance to explore new things, make memories, and spend time with our classmates.
