VCCS' First Football Banquet a Success
January 9, 2012

k.moore2In case you weren't aware, Victory Christian Center School hosted its very first Football Banquet on this past Saturday, January 7th at Campus 3

off of 6918 Old Pineville Road. The purpose of the banquet was to celebrate this year's football season and honor the football team and coaching staff for their hard work. After a challenging season last school year, the Kings football team started off afresh this year with former Carolina Panther running back and new VCCS Head Coach Dadrian Brown along with a fairly new coaching staff. Together as a cohesive unit, the VCCS Football program has made significant progress this past season.

The evening was definitely one to be remembered, with football-themed decor including, custom placemats, centerpieces. The emcee for the event was VCCS Guidance Counselor, Treva Farmer and the keynote speaker for the evening was Middle School Football coach Kareem Moore. Moore expressed his gratitude for the football program and the support of both Mr & Mrs. Pratt and VCCS president Pastor Gool. He shared with the VCCS Football players on the importance of personal accountability to one another and even had them stand and recite a pledge to one another stating as such. Both he, Coach Brown, other coaching staff members and principal Michael Pratt shared their appreciation both to the VCCS Varsity Football team for their hard work as well as to the VCCS parents who'd supported their children and the athletic program throughout the season. Also in attendance to show his support was VCCS Alumni, class of 2009 football player, Justin Foxx (currently #92, Defensive End of the Duke Blue Devils).

We give God the glory that the event was a success and appreciate all those who assisted and showed their support of this endeavor. We are looking forward to another successful football season and Football Banquet on next year!
