January 27, 2011 (Letter #1)

On Friday, January 28, 2011, the 6th grade boys basketball team will travel to Charlotte Christian for a 4:15 p.m. game. The athletes will depart from the high school at 2:45 p.m.  Upon completion of the games, athletes not picked up by their parents at the game site will return to the Pineville 1 location (VYB) gymnasium only at 6:00 p.m. The bus will not stop at the high school. Please come out and support the Kings!!! Directions are given below.

VCCS Athletics

Directions to: Charlotte Christian, 7301 Sardis Road, Charlotte, NC 28270From I-85 South: Take I-85 to I-77 South. From I-77 South, take Brookshire Frwy toward Independence Blvd. From Independence Blvd., turn right onto Idlewild Road. Idlewild will change to Rama Road. At the intersection of Rama Road and Sardis Road (Providence Day on the corner), turn left onto Sardis Road.

Charlotte Christian is approximately ½ mile on the left.

From Pineville I: Take Old Pineville Road towards town. Turn right onto Tyvola Road.                          

Tyvola Road will change to Fairview Road in the South Park Mall area. Continue on Fairview Road.

Pass Charlotte Country Day School. At the intersection of Fairview and Sardis (Providence Day School on the corner) turn right on Sardis.  Charlotte Christian is approximately ½ mile on the left.

January 28, 2011 (Letter #2)

On Saturday, January 29, 2011, the middle school girls and varsity girls basketball teams along with the junior varsity cheerleaders will travel to Charlotte Christian for a 1:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. game respectively. The athletes will depart from the Pineville 1 location (VYB) gymnasium at 11:30 a.m. All athletes will need to eat breakfast before boarding the bus. Players will need to bring extra money for concessions if they desire to eat. Upon completion of the games, athletes not picked up by their parents at the game site will return to the Pineville 1 location (VYB) gymnasium only at 4:45 p.m. The bus will not stop at the high school.

Please be reminded that all students must abide by VCCS guidelines for conduct and dress. The attire for Saturday will be casual. Students should not bring electronic devices and must give their cell phones to their coach upon boarding the bus. Please come out and support the Kings!!! Directions are given below.

The athletes will depart from the Pineville 1 location (VYB) gymnasium at 3:00 p.m. Upon completion of the game, athletes not picked up by their parents at the game site will return to the Pineville 1 location (VYB) gymnasium only at 7:00 p.m. The bus will not stop at the high school.

From I-77: Travel I-77 South to I-485 toward Pineville. Take the Providence Road/

Weddington exit 57. Turn left. United Faith is approximately 1 mile down the

road on the right.
