Dear Parent(s):

On Thursday, December 15, 2011, the VCCS junior varsity boys, varsity girls and varsity boys basketball teams and cheerleaders will travel to Statesville Christian for a 4:00 p.m., 5:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. game respectively. The athletes will depart from the high school location at 2:15 p.m. Players will need to bring extra money for concessions if they desire to eat. Upon completion of the games, athletes not picked up by their parents at the game site will first return to the high school location at 9:30 p.m. and then to the Pineville 1 (gym) location at 9:45 p.m. Please come out and support the Kings!!! Directions are given below.

Directions to: Statesville Christian, 1210 Museum Road, Statesville, NC 28625

Take I-77 North toward Statesville. Take Exit 51 onto I-40 West towards Hickory. Remain in your right lane and take exit (151). Go through the light at the end of the ramp as if you were getting back on the highway. Take the service road to the right. Make an immediate left onto the service road (Gaither Road). Go to the stop sign. Statesville Christian is straight ahead on the right.

The Varsity girls and boys will travel to Charleston, South Carolina on Saturday, December 17, 2011 to compete in the Porter-Gaud Holiday Classic. The teams will depart from Pineville 1 (VYB) at 8:30 a.m. and return on Tuesday after the tournament. The boys are strongly encouraged to eat prior to departure as they will not have a meal before they play.

Please be reminded that all students must abide by VCCS guidelines for conduct and dress. The girls may wear loose fitting slacks or skirts. Also, chapel attire is required for Sunday church service. Students should not bring electronic devices and must give their cell phones to their coach upon boarding the bus. Please be aware that on all overnight trips, meal expenses are incurred by the school. Students must bring extra money if they desire to purchase items at the shopping mall.
