At Victory Christian Center School, we endeavor not only to provide young people with an excellent, Christ-centered education, but to also purposefully assist students as they prepare for God's call on their lives. A solid Christian secondary education ends not merely with the completion of course requirements and passing exam scores, but also with the student's successful transition to the next level of growth and development. Our Guidance & Career Services Department seeks to adequately prepare the students for post-high school pursuits through meeting the following objectives:

  • To teach and encourage students to develop and strengthen their personal relationships with Jesus Christ and to take ownership of their relationships as they graduate and move out into society. As students learn who they are in Christ and combine this awareness with strong academic preparation, they should be equipped for higher learning and for becoming a generation of spiritual leaders;
  • To help students uncover their God-given talents and abilities, to educate parents and students regarding the college admissions and financial aid processes, scholarship opportunities and careers, and to identify appropriate college "fits";
  • To expose students to colleges through area college fairs and the College on Campus Program;
  • To advise students how and when to apply to colleges and how to write effective college essays;
  • To inform students of college athletic participation requirements and how to complete appropriate registrations;
  • To provide encouragement when necessary to help students with specific academic, social and spiritual issues.
  • To provide grade-specific internal workshops to assist the student in prioritizing and staying on track throughout high school;
  • To coordinate and administer all school standardized testing, including distributing and interpreting score reports.

Other services include transcripts, Career Week activities, academic excursions, community service opportunities and athletic recruiting support.
